About

grammata is a small literary press in spirit.

The name comes from a small island in the Aegean - Grammata. For centuries, sailors carved names, dates, and prayers into the rock face. Some of those carvings are still legible today. The point wasn't to be seen. The point was that the writing would still be there after the writer was gone.

grammata is a place to put writing that should outlast a feed. A writer publishes a page - a poem, a letter, a piece of prose, paired with a visual style by an artist they like. Readers can collect numbered editions of it. The collection is theirs forever, even if the platform goes away.

There's no algorithm sorting what you see. Readers pay the writer directly. The wall is small enough that one good page changes it. If you have something to write, write it. If you find something worth keeping, keep it.
